CITY SEEKING INFORMATION FOR ‘FACES OF OUR HEROES’ VETERANS TRIBUTE
As part of the activities for the 2015 Memorial Day Weekend, the City of Owensboro is inviting the public to share the stories of family and friends who served in the US military through a unique memorial display at the Owensboro Convention Center. ‘Faces of our Heroes’ is an opportunity to honor veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice. A special pictorial tribute will be carefully created inside the Owensboro Convention Center with photos and information submitted about those that served in our US military.
The City of Owensboro is working in conjunction with Daviess County Public Library to gather the information for the exhibit. You can download the registration form from the city website and submit a photo of your family member in military uniform along with the registration form to the library. Your photo will be scanned to include in the exhibit.
Faces of our Heroes will be on display at the Owensboro Convention Center beginning Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25, 2015. Please visit www.owensboro.org to download submission forms.
