OWENSBORO AIR SHOW BRIDGE AND RIVER CLOSURES

SEPTEMBER 12-15, 2024

The Owensboro Air Show returns to the riverfront on September 13-15. This large event brings visitors from all over the Midwest to watch the aerial demonstrations over the Ohio River.

 

The Glover Cary “Blue” Bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic for several hours Thursday-Sunday for the Air Show and scheduled practice sessions. Bridge Walk will also return on Saturday, September 14, giving people the opportunity to walk across the bridge from 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

 

Bridge closure times are as follows:

Thursday, September 12: 12:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Friday, September 13: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 14: 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Sunday, September 15: 12:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

 

With the participation of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, city officials are required to close a large area of the Ohio River and the English Park Boat Ramp.

 

Closure times are as follows:

Thursday, September 12- Sunday, September 15: 11:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
