We have collaborated with The Pub on Second to bring you a calendar full of events. We are all so excited to announce the WKY Silent Disco Summer Series on 2nd street @ The Pub. Headphones will be available to rent for $5. Each pair plays 3 channels of music simultaneously making an experience truly everyone will love! We will be there from 9pm-12am playing music from all genres! Whether you wear your boogie shoes or just looking for great vibes we have you covered! There will be something for everyone. -
Soapbox Derby Racing

May 11th is our Super Kids Soapbox Race for special needs kids in the morning and registration for our June Local Race in the afternoon. May 18th -19th is a Rally Race where there will be local racers as well as racers from other areas competing. June 2nd is Impound Day for Local Race and racers will have the opportunity to take trial runs down the track. June 8th is our Local Race where local racers will be competing for the opportunity to represent Owensboro at the All American Race in Akron OH in July. The August, September and November dates are Rally Races where local racers and racers from other areas will be racing to earn points to qualify to go the All American Race in Akron OH.

Kentucky Run for the Fallen

The Kentucky Run for the Fallen honors our fallen heroes. This is the same event as in previous years. We partner with the Daviess County Sheriff's Department, Owensboro Police Department, and Kentucky State Police to escort our entourage of runners and support vehicles. The run will begin at Smothers Park with an opening ceremony at 7 a.m. and from there runners will stop every two miles to honor fallen soldiers with a quick roadside ceremony saying the names of the fallen out loud. This is a two-day event coving 150 miles.

LifeSaver's Walk

The Owensboro Regional Suicide Prevention Coalition LifeSavers Walk is held annually for families and friends who have lost loved ones to suicide. Resources are made available for attendees, along with a butterfly release and opportunity to connect with others who have had similar life experiences. - Kids Fun Run – FREE! Each child will receive a t-shirt and medal.
- Super Hero Walk – this is a team event honoring our Super Hero Survivors. Up to 10 people per team, entry fee $150 per team. Each team is asked to raise at least $500 in addition to the entry fee. Teams can participate in honor or in memory of loved ones, co-workers, friends. Survivors will be honored at the walk. Dress as your favorite super hero!!
- Prizes will be awarded for each event, and top fundraising individual and team.

Walk to End Alzheimer's

While there is no fee to register for Walk, all participants are encouraged to raise critical funds that allow the Alzheimer's Association to provide 24/7 care and support and advance research toward methods of prevention, treatment and ultimately a cure.
