NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Property Maintenance Code Enforcement Board will meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in Commission Chambers, located on the fourth floor at City Hall, 101 E. 4^th Street, Owensboro, Kentucky.  Meeting dates are subject to change and if so, will be published.

Meeting dates of the Owensboro Board of Commissioners for the year 2024 are listed below. Commission meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 5:00 p.m. and the third Tuesday of the month beginning at 4:00 p.m.  All meetings are held in the Commission Chambers located on the fourth floor at City Hall, 101 E. 4th Street. Meeting dates are subject to change and if so, will be published.

These days are set up for children to come out to the Soapbox Derby Track at Ben Hawes and try out Soapbox Derby Racing

OWENSBORO-DAVIESS COUNTY HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD 2024 MEETING SCHEDULE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Historic Preservation Board will meet on the first Wednesday of each month (if necessary) at 1:30 p.m. in Commission Chambers, located on the fourth floor at City Hall, 101 E. 4^th Street, Owensboro, Kentucky.  Meeting dates are subject to change and if so, will be published.

14th Annual Kentucky Wesleyan Car, Truck & Jeep Show

Participants of this event will enjoy ghost stories of Joe Ford while walking selected trails at the Joe Ford Nature Park.

5K walk to raise awareness of epilepsy and also raise funds for the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana to continue to provide support to the community. The walk will take place at Legion Park. Walkers will arrive at 9am and register, announcements will be at 10am and the walk will start at 10:15pm. The walk will end at 11am and walkers will come back to the shelter for closing remarks then leave at approx 11:30am.

GRADSA's 27th Annual Buddy Walk is a day to EDUCATE, ADVOCATE, and CELEBRATE individuals in our community with Down syndrome. GRADSA is a local non-profit that hosts this event locally and is our major fundraise of the year. This year we will be adding on a 5k run the morning of the the Buddy Walk.

Legends Spooky Trail Race at Rudy Mines – Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 3 pm. 5K run/walk on the Ben Hawes Trail System just outside Owensboro, KY.

The City of Owensboro is gearing up for its 33rd annual Trail of Treats. This family-friendly Halloween event returns to downtown Owensboro for an evening of Trick-or-Treating, character appearances, and special photo opportunities with some other surprise guests. Bring the entire family for a great night to kick off the Halloween festivities!

The Erica Owen Domestic Violence Awareness 5K is designed to raise awareness of Domestic Violence in the Owensboro area. The money raised goes directly to WKU to support a nursing scholarship in Erica's name. Any additional proceeds will be donated to either OASIS or My Sister's Keeper, both local shelters for victims of domestic violence.
