REGISTRATION OPEN FOR OWENSBORO PARKS & RECREATION’S

FALL YOUTH  SPORTS

 

Little Spikers Youth Instructional Volleyball League

Owensboro Parks & Recreation is thrilled to offer the Little Spikers Coed Instructional Youth Volleyball League this fall. This program is designed to teach young athletes the fundamentals and knowledge of volleyball. The season kicks off with an evaluation day on Saturday, August 10. Players will then practice on Tuesdays or Thursdays and showcase their skills during Saturday matches. The season culminates with a single-elimination tournament on October 1 and 3.

The registration fee is $102 per player, plus tax, which includes participation, a shirt, coaching, and a complimentary volleyball for home practice. Practices will be led in collaboration with Kentuckiana Skills Academy. All activities will take place at the Owensboro Parks & Recreation Administrative Center located at 1530 McJohnson Avenue.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: JULY 12.

Fall T-Ball League

This fall, Owensboro Parks & Recreation is also offering a T-Ball League for children ages 3-6, divided into two age divisions: 3-4 and 5-6. The league focuses on teaching the fundamentals of baseball in a fun, non-competitive environment. The season starts on Monday, September 9, with games played on Monday evenings at 5:45 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. at Jack C. Fisher Park. The season consists of 8 regular season games, with make-up games scheduled as needed.

The registration fee is $61 plus tax per child, with a $10 sibling discount for additional children registered from the same household. Each participant will receive a team t-shirt, hat, and a post-season party.
