VACANCY UPDATE AND UPCOMING MEETINGS

 

The Owensboro Board of Commissioners is encouraged by the number of applicants willing to serve their community.

 

Due to the large number of applications received, there will be two (2) Special Called Meetings at which applicants will be interviewed. 

 

 

MONDAY, MAY 15 – 5:00 P.M. - SPECIAL CALLED MEETING

 

On May 15, beginning at 5:00 p.m., a Special Called Meeting of the Owensboro Board of Commissioners will be held at City Hall, 101 E. 4^th Street, Owensboro, KY in the Commission Chambers. The purpose of the meeting is to explain the vacancy procedure process; conduct interviews of applicants to fill the vacancy on the Owensboro Board of Commissioners; to consider a closed session under KRS 61.810 (1)(f) to hold discussions which might lead to the appointment of a member; return to open session; and adjourn.

TUESDAY, MAY 16 - 5:00 P.M. - REGULAR MEETING

 

The Owensboro Board of Commissioners will hold a regular Commission meeting at 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 101 E. 4th Street, Owensboro, KY. 

 

TUESDAY, MAY 16 – 6:00 P.M. - SPECIAL CALLED MEETING

 

Beginning at 6:00 p.m., a Special Called Meeting of the Owensboro Board of Commissioners will be held at City Hall, 101 E. 4^th Street, Owensboro, KY in the Commission Chambers.  The purpose of the meeting is to explain the vacancy procedure process; conduct interviews of applicants to fill the vacancy on the Owensboro Board of Commissioners; consider a closed session under KRS 61.810 (1)(f) to hold discussions which might lead to the appointment of a member; return to open session; vote on appointment to fill the vacancy on the Owensboro Board of Commissioners through December 31, 2023; administer Oath of Office; and adjourn.

All meetings, with the exception of the closed sessions, are open to the public.
