CITY OF OWENSBORO ANNOUNCES NEW EVENT “ILLUMINATE”

 

The City of Owensboro is thrilled to announce a brand-new event, Illuminate, set to light up downtown Owensboro with an unforgettable art and light experience. This free, family-friendly nightly event will take place October 3-5, 2025, and promises to dazzle attendees with a blend of breathtaking visual displays, an extraordinary drone show, and much more.

Illuminate is designed to captivate the community with cutting-edge technology and immersive art installations, offering something for everyone to enjoy. This new biennial event will alternate years with the Owensboro Air Show, ensuring a unique, high-quality experience every year in our vibrant downtown.

“This event is unlike anything Owensboro has seen before,” said Tim Ross, Director of Public Events for the City of Owensboro. “We are so excited to bring Illuminate to life in our downtown area, providing a free and accessible way for families to come together, experience something magical, and celebrate our community. We believe Illuminate will be a signature event that draws visitors and locals alike.”
