F-35 LIGHTNING II DEMONSTRATION JOINING THE 2021 AIR SHOW

The City of Owensboro announced the addition of the USAF F-35 Lightning II Demo Team to the 2021 Owensboro Air Show, August 13 - 15, 2021.

“We are thrilled to have the Lightning II Demo Team joining our air show next year.  The F-35 is the most advanced fighter jet in the world.  Watching the fifth generation capabilities of this jet during its demonstration will leave you in awe,” said Public Events Director, Tim Ross.

The Lightning II Demo Team will be joining the US Navy Blue Angels Demonstration team next year over the Ohio River demonstrating some of the best military aircraft in the world.  “2021 will be the most exciting air show we have ever had in Owensboro with two premier military demonstrations,” said Tim Ross.  “Having the Blue Angels and the Lightning II Demo Team both performing next year is really spectacular for Owensboro and will bring record crowds to the riverfront each day.”

Owensboro Air Show activities will occur on Friday, August 13 at the Owensboro Daviess County Regional Airport and on Saturday and Sunday, August 14 & 15 in downtown Owensboro.
