Little Spikers Youth Instructional Volleyball League

Register now for our Owensboro Parks & Recreation Little Spikers Youth Instructional Volleyball League. The League will get kids active and playing volleyball at a younger age. It will acquaint them with the sport, teach fundamentals and develop volleyball basic skills.

Little Spikers is for grades 3^rd through 6^th and is accepting registration for male and female participants. It will start February 13 and run through March 31. The players will practice every Sunday and Wednesday or Thursday, depending on team assignment. Players will get to put what they learned into action on Saturdays during their scheduled matches. Fee per player to participate is $100. The Season will end with a single elimination Tournament on March 30 and 31.

“In today’s society, sport is the number one way for kids to develop physically, emotionally and socially. Currently volleyball is the second largest high school sport behind track in the nation. This program will be a great opportunity to be introduced to this growing sport,” stated Steve Howard, Kentuckiana Skills Academy.

This year we are partnering with Kentuckiana Skills Academy and Brescia University's Volleyball Team to lead the practices and coach the teams.
