LANE CLOSURES

BRECKENRIDGE STREET AND PARRISH AVENUE

 

  

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, RWRA crews will begin a tunnel lining project along the Breckenridge Street and Parrish Avenue corridor. The project is expected to last approximately eight (8) weeks, pending no delays or inclement weather. The following traffic routes will be affected during this period:

 

Phase 1:        May 26 through May 27, the left lane of Breckenridge Street will be closed from East 17^th Street to East 15^th Street.

Phase 2:        May 28 through approximately July 21, the right lane of Breckenridge Street will be closed from East 17^th Street to East 15^th Street.

 

            Other side streets affected during the project include Hathaway, East 14^th, East 15^th, and East 16^th Streets. The turning lane for eastbound traffic on Parrish Avenue at Breckenridge Street will be closed and westbound traffic will be routed through the turning lane. The Owensboro Health entrance at Hathaway Street and Parrish Avenue will be closed for the extent of the project and signage will be posted to route traffic to other entrances. Detours will be appropriately marked for closures. Please use caution and attention while driving in these areas.
