CITY HALL, PARKS ADMINISTRATION OFFICE, TRANSIT, AND SANITATION

THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

 

City Hall and Parks Administration Office will be closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27.

 

Transit - City transit buses will not run on Thursday, November 26 and will run on a reduced schedule from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Friday, November 27.

 

Sanitation - Residential and commercial customers: Normal trash collection will occur Monday, November 23, through Wednesday, November 25. There will be no trash collection on Thursday, November 26. Thursday routes will be collected on Friday, November 27 and Friday routes will be collected on Saturday, November 28. 

 

Residents are reminded that the City’s cost-saving automated system and low sanitation rates do not allow for extra trash to be piled on, in, or around the mobile cart; lids must be closed for collection. Special blue bags are available to purchase at City Hall for $2.50 each or five (5) for $10.00. The bags should be placed near the mobile cart for collection.

 

Please be sure that carts are curbside by 6:00 a.m. and are removed from the curb on the same day serviced. In the event a return for collection is needed, a $25.00 service fee may be added to your monthly sanitation bill.  Ensure carts open towards the street and that there is at least four (4) feet of clearance around the cart for our automated system to collect your cart.   The four (4) feet of clearance is especially important when holiday visitors are parked on the street.
