CITY OF OWENSBORO LAUNCHES ONLYOWENSBORO
The City of Owensboro is pleased to launch OnlyOwensboro, the official civic engagement tool allowing residents to connect with their city. With this new tool, residents can submit, track, and view nearby service requests online, through the smartphone app, via SMS, and traditional phone calls. The City of Owensboro launched the app in partnership with PublicStuff, an innovative civic engagement platform that helps residents and local governments connect to improve their communities.
Here's how it works for residents:
- Do you have concerns in your community that you would like to report directly and quickly to your government?
- Now you can submit these issues through the customized mobile app.
- The relevant city staff redirects and responds to the issues through their backend workflow management suite. The city keeps residents in the loop with regular status updates and comments on the submitted requests.
“The Owensboro Board of Commissioners is always looking for ways to improve transparency and communications with our constituents. Making government more accessible is our goal, and this mobile application provides many avenues to reach out to city staff,” commented Mayor Ron Payne.
“This is further evidence of the City of Owensboro’s strong commitment to being responsive to the needs of their community,” said Surya Yalamanchili, CEO of PublicStuff. “We’re excited to partner with Owensboro in making it easier for residents to work together to improve their neighborhoods.”
OnlyOwensboro is a free app and is available in the Apple app store and Google Play for immediate use. To access any PublicStuff services or to learn how to get involved in your neighborhood, please visit www.PublicStuff.com.
