EXECUTIVE ORDER 06-2020
Rescission of Declaration of State of Emergency
WHEREAS, on April 10, 2020, Owensboro Mayor Thomas H. Watson and Judge/Executive Al Mattingly, pursuant to KRS 39A.100 issued a joint Executive Order relating to a State of Emergency in an attempt to mitigate the spread of COVID-19; and
WHEREAS, the Executive Orders issued by Governor Beshear declaring a State of Emergency throughout Kentucky pursuant to his power under the Kentucky Constitution and KRS Chapter 39A, regarding the threats to public health presented by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic shall remain in full force and effect, until such time as rescinded by Governor Beshear; and
WHEREAS, the Joint Executive Order issued on April 10, 2020, is no longer necessary and the citizens of Owensboro and Daviess County are directed to continue compliance with the Governor Beshear’s Executive Orders;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Joint Executive Order issued on April 10, 2020, is hereby rescinded, this 10th day of June 2020.
