HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

 

City Hall and the Parks Administration Office will be closed on Friday, December 24, Monday, December 27, and Friday, December 31, 2021.

Owensboro Transit System will be closed on Friday, December 24, Monday, December 27, 2021 and  January 1, 2022.

There will be no change to the Sanitation trash collection schedule. However, the Sanitation Department will modify procedures and collect extra trash that is bagged and placed next to the mobile cart on the regular collection day.

If trash is placed in cardboard be mindful that rain may weaken boxes and makes collection impossible. Please do not overfill mobile carts, unless the lid is closed the automated collection system may drop trash in your yard or damage the cart.

Please note that extra trash collection is for holiday trash only and does not include “clean-outs” of furniture, tires, appliances, etc.

Natural Christmas tree collection (without lights, ornaments, or stands) will be collected beginning Monday, January 3 through Friday January 7, 2022 on your regularly scheduled trash collection day. Do not place trees in plastic bags.
