CITY COMPLETES ANNUAL LOOSE-LEAF COLLECTION

The Owensboro Sanitation Department completed its third and final pass of the annual loose-leaf vacuum collection through Owensboro, collecting 1,154 tons of leaves. Vacuum leaf collection will continue by request through Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

Customers can request collection by calling CityAction at 270-687-4444 or the Sanitation Department at 270-687-8760. Requests for vacuum leaf collection received after Friday, February 11, 2022, will not be honored, as the leaf collection equipment will be stored for the season.

Bagged leaves can continue to be placed curbside for collection on the customer’s normally scheduled trash day. Limb collection and chipping operations will resume Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
