Offering a free meal to whomever wishes to attend. Event takes place every other Friday at Kendall-Perkins Park.

May 20-21 is a Rally Race Weekend where racers from around the area and surrounding states will be competing to earn points to attend the All American Race in Akron. Racers will be recognized and there will be games and other activities for them and their families. June 10th will be the Local Race where kids will compete to earn a trip to the All American Race in Akron. June 11th is the rain date for the Local Race. August 19-20 is another Rally Race Weekend. September 9-10 and November 4-5 are Rally Races where racers from the area and other states will compete for points to earn a trip to the All American Race in Akron. 

Flag football, basketball and cornhole. The events will start at 4:00pm and end at 8:00pm.

Owensboro Community & Technical College Grant G. Talbott 5K Run/Walk provides funding for OCTC student scholarships. Registration begins at 7:30 AM at Owensboro Community Community & Technical College, 4800 New Hartford Road. Shuttles are provided to transport participants from OCTC to Legion Park. The 5K begins at Legion Park and the finish line is at OCTC. Award ceremony begins after the last participant crosses the finish line.

Join this annual parade in downtown Owensboro and along Veterans Blvd. to honor all of our nation's veterans. From the form up point at Clay St. and 2nd St., west on 2nd Street to Daviess St., then north on Daviess St. to Veterans Blvd to in front of the Shelton Memorial and Gold Star Monument to the intersection with Frederica St. and disperse to the west.
