    Friday March 3, 2023

Grab unique and delicious burgers from dozens of different restaurants across Owensboro from March 3-11.

Burger Week has gained a huge following since its inception in 2021, bringing thousands of people out to explore a variety of local restaurants across Owensboro-Daviess County. By charging only $7 per burger, this gives you the chance to try as many burgers as possible–many from restaurants that don’t typically sell burgers!

In previous years, we’ve seen everything from pork belly burgers to mac-and-cheese burgers to breakfast-style burgers topped in layers of egg, bacon, and hashbrowns. Owensboro is known for its barbecue, of course, and you can score some of the tastiest burgers you’ll ever find at our world-renowned BBQ establishments!

A distinguished panel of self-proclaimed burger experts will do a blind tasting of these burgers to determine the Burger Week Champion. Stay tuned for a social media contest during Owensboro Burger Week as well.

In honor of World Planting Day, the Owensboro Neighborhood Alliances will give out free tree seedlings to Owensboro residents from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (while supplies last) on Saturday, March 18 in the Sportscenter parking lot, 1215 Hickman Avenue. The Owensboro Neighborhood Alliances were created to enhance the livability of our community by building and maintaining an open line of communication between the alliance and city government. Many alliances are in need of new members! The Owensboro Neighborhood Alliances will once again host the annual neighborhood cleanups this year. The cleanups will take place from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the dates listed below. All residents in the cleanup areas are encouraged to help beautify the neighborhood by picking up litter along sidewalks and streets on their scheduled cleanup day.
