OWENSBORO DAVIESS COUNTY YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE AND CITY OF OWENSBORO TO UNVEIL WALL OF FAME AT WAYMOND MORRIS FOOTBALL COMPLEX

 

The Owensboro Daviess County Youth Football League (ODCYFL), in collaboration with the City of Owensboro, will  proudly unveil the inaugural plaques for the league’s Wall of Fame located at Waymond Morris Football Complex  on Saturday, August 17 at 10:30 a.m.

Wall of Fame Honorees will include:

  • Houston Hogg: A trailblazer from Daviess County High School and the University of Kentucky, Hogg played a key role in breaking the color barrier in the Southeastern Conference during the 1960s. He is also known for his community impact, fostering over 200 youth in Daviess County.
  • Vince Buck: Former ODCYFL player and Owensboro High School alum who went on to play for Central State Ohio and later in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints.
  • Mark Higgs: Former ODCYFL player and Owensboro High School alum who continued his football career at the University of Kentucky and in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, and Arizona Cardinals.
  • Kenny Willis:  Former ODCYFL player and  Owensboro High School alum who went on to play for the University of Kentucky, and in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New York Giants.
  • Zane Beehn: Former ODCYFL player and Apollo High School alum who played for the University of Kentucky and in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers.
  • Justin Miller:  Former ODCYFL player and Owensboro High School alum who played for Clemson University and continued his career in the NFL with the New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, and Detroit Lions.
  • Chris Brown: Former ODCYFL player who played for Notre Dame and the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL.
