PYROTECHNIC EVENT FOR CITY’S BIRD CONTROL PROGRAM ON MONDAY, FEBRAURY 27
In the interest of human health and safety, a pyrotechnic event, which is part of the City of Owensboro’s blackbird control program, will take place on Monday, February 27, 2017 in the area from Booth Avenue to Parrish Avenue and from Lexington Avenue to Lewis Lane in the late afternoon.
A wildlife specialist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s APHIS Wildlife Services will set off pyrotechnics each evening. Residents in the area should expect the loud noises and flashing lights from the controlled pyrotechnics during that time.
