OWENSBORO PARKS & RECREATION ANNOUNCES

“DECEMBER @THE EDGE” EVENTS FOR HOLIDAY SEASON

 

The Edge Ice Center is set to host a lineup of exciting skating events and special sessions for the holiday season. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older.

SKATE WITH SANTA

 It’s ALL ABOARD for this magical day on the ice with Santa Claus and his elves! After receiving their golden ticket and silver bell, skaters can glide across the ice to Christmas music and score FREE hot chocolate. PJs are encouraged.

Date: December 21, 1:00-3:30 p.m.

Admission: $7/person (includes skate rental) and $2/spectator

 

HOLIDAY UGLY SWEATER CHRISTMAS PARTY

Skaters can hit the ice in their favorite ugly Christmas sweater! This fun event will include games and is perfect for families looking for something fun to do over winter break. Participants wearing an ugly sweater will receive a giftbag with treats, discounts, and coupons for future activities and events at the Edge.

Date: December 23, 1:00-3:30 p.m.

Admission: $7/person (skate rental included) and $2/spectator

 

New Year’s Eve Glow- Skate Party

Ring in the New Year at the Edge Ice Center in style with glow sticks and a DJ! Skaters will also receive midnight party favors while supplies last.

Date: December 31, 10:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.

Admission: $15/person (includes skate rental) and $2/spectator

 

Winter Break Sessions December 19-January 5

School’s out, scream and shout! Families can enjoy time together on the ice. The Edge Ice Center is open daily for afternoon and evening sessions. Find more information on times and admission at owensboroparks.org. You can purchase tickets at the gate or in advance online. The Edge will be closed on December 24 & 25 for the holidays, and there will be no public session on January 4 due to a hockey tournament.
