Learn to Skate Classes at the Edge Ice Center
The City of Owensboro’s Edge Ice Center is accepting registrations for its next session of Learn-to-Skate. The Learn-to-Skate program is formatted by the ISI (Ice Skating Industry), the nation’s largest recreational ice skating organization. Classes are available for all ages and abilities, from 3 years – Adult and are held once a week.
MONDAY CLASSES September 11 – October 2
Freestyle Levels 1-10…………………………………………………………….4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Fee: $48, plus tax – includes skate rental, if needed, and 1 hour of ice time each session (45 minutes of instruction and 15 minutes of practice ice).
TUESDAY CLASSES September 12 – October 3
Tots 1-2, Tots 3-4, Pre-Alpha, Adults ……………………………………..5:00 – 5:30 p.m.
Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, ………..………........................5:30 – 6:00 p.m.
New – Intro to Synchronized Skating ……………………..……..........6:00 – 6:30 p.m.
Requires successful completion of Beta Level lessons. Synchro is a team skating sport, where up to 16 skaters perform together as a team. They move as a flowing unit at consistent speeds over the ice, while performing elements and footwork.
Fee: $40, plus tax – includes skate rental and 1 hour of ice time (30 minutes of instruction plus 30 minutes of practice ice).
Registration Deadline for all classes is Friday, September 8
