FEMA FLOOD MAP INFORMATION OPEN HOUSE
MARCH 14, 2023 – 5:00-7:00 PM
Representatives from the Division of Water and Daviess County Engineering Department will host a FEMA Flood Map Information Open House on March 14, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Blandford Lecture Hall located at the Owensboro Community and Technical College. The purpose of the open house is to give residents a chance to review preliminary versions of the recently completed Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports and their accompanying preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMS). The FIS and the FIRMS provide base flood information and designate areas that are subject to significant flood hazards within the County.
Experts at the Open House will help residents understand flood risk and flood insurance, floodplain development regulations, and the mapping process. The newly prepared preliminary floodplain maps can also be reviewed at the meeting.
Find the Daviess County Preliminary FIRM Date Viewer here.
