CITY OF OWENSBORO TO CELEBRATE ARBOR DAY 2017
WITH TREE PLANTING
The City of Owensboro will be planting nine trees in celebration of Arbor Day 2017 at Legion Park on Tuesday, April 25th at 10:00 a.m. The annual Arbor Day proclamation will be presented by Mayor Tom Watson. The public is invited to attend.
Two second grade classes from Newton Parrish Elementary School will also attend the tree planting.
“We were honored to be asked to participate in the city’s celebration of Arbor Day. The event will present a wonderful learning opportunity where students will get to learn about the environment and get to meet several city officials,” said Steve Bratcher, Newton Parrish principal.
