CITY OF OWENSBORO PREPARES FOR WENDELL FOSTER
HALF MARATHON & 5K
The City of Owensboro is preparing for the annual Wendell Foster Half Marathon & 5K presented by Owensboro Health on Saturday, March 23, 2024 beginning at 7:00 a.m.
“We are thrilled to support Wendell Foster for this exciting fundraising event,” says Tim Ross, Director of Public Events for the City of Owensboro.
The City would like to remind residents that several streets will be closed intermittently the morning of the race. Delays can be expected between 7:30 – 11:30 a.m. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes, avoid areas along the race course, allow for extra driving time, and proceed with caution on streets near the race course.
Major streets impacted will be J.R. Miller Boulevard, Frederica Street, Ford Avenue, Griffith Avenue, Lewis Lane, and Locust Street, among others. For more information on the Wendell Foster Half Marathon & 5K and to see a map of the course, please visit wendellfoster.org/halfmarathon.
