CITY MANAGER ANNOUNCES LELAN HANCOCK AS ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER
City Manager Nate Pagan announced the selection of Lelan Hancock as the next Assistant City Manager for the City of Owensboro.
Hancock holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Western Kentucky University and a master’s degree in public administration from Western Kentucky University. Hancock worked as the Deputy Director of Public Works for the City of Owensboro prior to becoming the Senior Director of Operations for the Daviess County Board of Education.
“Lelan stood out in a deep pool of highly qualified candidates. His passion for the City of Owensboro was evident. With his broad experience and knowledge of city operations and projects, Lelan is perfectly positioned to take on this role. I am confident Lelan will serve our community well” Pagan said.
“I am extremely humbled and honored to be chosen for this position! I am excited to rejoin a very talented team of professionals with the city of Owensboro!” said Hancock.
Hancock’s appointment will be voted on at the next commission meeting.
