NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Owensboro Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Called Commission meeting at 4:45 p.m., on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in the Commission Chambers located on the fourth floor at City Hall, 101 E. 4th Street, Owensboro, KY.  The purpose of the meeting is to receive public comment on the real property proposed tax rate for 2022. Agenda:

1.   CALL TO ORDER

2.   ROLL CALL

3. PUBLIC COMMENT - Receive public comment regarding the proposed 2022 Real Property Tax Rate.

 4.  ADJOURNMENT

At 5:00 p.m., the Owensboro Board of Commissioners will convene in a regular Commission Meeting at City Hall, 101 E. 4th Street, Owensboro, KY in the Commission Chambers. The agenda will be available online at owensboro.org.

SEVEN HILLS NEIGHBORHOOD ALLIANCE TO HOST

 “SUMMER’S END BLOCK PARTY”

The Seven Hills Neighborhood Alliance will host a “Summer’s End Block Party” from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 8 in the Trinity United Methodist Church parking lot, located at 2815 Old Hartford Road. Guests should enter from Kelly Lane off Old Hartford Road. The event will feature food trucks (J’s Good Grub, Real Hacienda, and Hodge’s Curbside Creamery), representatives from the Owensboro Police and Fire Departments, Pure Barre pop-up class, games, balloon twisting by Dr. Popper, music, and fellowship. Bring your lawn chairs, meet your neighbors, and learn what the Seven Hills Neighborhood Alliance is doing in the community!

Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the Alliance will hold their regular neighborhood meeting. All guests who stay for the meeting will receive a free gift bag!

The Seven Hills Neighborhood Alliance includes the neighborhoods of Trinity Hills, Heartlands, Estes, Rolling Heights, and Chautauqua Park, but everyone in the community is welcome to attend.

We gather around 9am for registering in the Church Parking lot. Our walk begins at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 4029 Frederica Street heading north down Frederica in one lane towards Wesleyan Park Plaza 2750 Frederica Street. We take a brief break at Mcdonalds and then walk back down Frederica Street and return to Our Lady of Lourdes This year we would like to invite a few food trucks to join and also have a few inflatables for the kids. These elements would be new to this event.
