Participants under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older at ALL TIMES.

This 5k Run/Walk will honor the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and support the Owensboro Human Relations Commission in its efforts to strengthen and unify the Owensboro community by advancing equality, inclusion, and belonging for its diverse peoples through advocacy, education, empowerment, and accountability. 

Public gathering with guest speakers and some music. Purpose is to connect the public to a variety of issues in Daviess County and the work that multiple organizations do to help on those issues. Informational tables will also be available. Speakers/organizations/tables may include Coalition for an Inclusive Daviess County, NAACP Owensboro, St. Benedict's Shelter and Daniel Pitino Shelter, Owensboro Human Relations Commission, and a voter registration table. 

A community walk honoring MLK Jr. and his important work will begin at Daviess County High School and end at Owensboro Community and Technical College with a presentation to follow at the campus.
