In an effort to take precautionary measures in the prevention and spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the City of Owensboro is restricting access to its facilities. The City intends to follow the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. We request all city boards, commissions and agencies to follow suit. As CDC guidelines change, the City will adhere.

The City recognizes that the impact of a potential outbreak will affect city operations in a variety of ways and we recognize the special duty to assist the public. During a community emergency, city employees’ responsibility to serve, maintain vital services and take protective measures for themselves and their community is critical and will continue during this time.

To ensure continuity of government, as well as its commitment to public safety, the City remains committed to serving its citizens, carrying out critical functions and prioritizing support functions. We request residents to conduct all city business electronically or by phone during the upcoming weeks.
