The City of Owensboro continues to follow COVID-19 guidance from the appropriate federal and state authorities. As such, we will follow the Healthy at Work guidance. The City remains committed to public safety and to serving its citizens. Below is an updated list of services and reminders of current closures.
City Hall remains closed to the public. Anyone needing to conduct business can call CityAction at 270-687-4444 or email [email protected] to determine how to best handle specific processes. Deliveries can be made using the Allen Street entrance.
Parks & Recreation: Outdoor park greenspace and walking trails remain open. Outdoor park amenities remain closed. In addition, no shelter or facility rentals, tournaments, scrambles, birthday parties, leagues, lessons or programs scheduled prior to June 21 will occur. Parks staff will be in contact for any league or program that required registration. We continue to monitor the Reopening Phases outlined by Governor Beshear and will apply the model to our parks system. Full details will be provided soon. Special Events: There will be no Special Events held on city property extended through June 21.
Reminder of limited services:
Finance Dept.: If you are conducting business with the Finance Dept. including remittance of taxes, parking tickets, etc., paperwork and/or payments can be made via mail to P.O. Box 10003, Owensboro, KY 42302-9003 or dropped in secure drop located on the Allen St. side of City Hall. Property Taxes can be remitted online at https://services.owensboro.org/propertytaxpublic#!/. Finance related business call 270-687-8537.
- Net Profit returns shall follow federal guidelines. The filing and payment due date of April 15, 2020 has been extended to July 15, 2020.
Fire Department: Stations remain closed to visitors and in-person public education events remain suspended.

Public Works Building: The lobby of Public Works at 1410 W. 5th Street remains closed to the public. For assistance phone 270-687-8760 or 270-687-4444.
Sanitation Service: Yard waste collection remains suspended. Sanitation service will not be discontinued for nonpayment. Customers will still be responsible for full payments.
