2019 MEETING DATES

          Meeting dates for the Owensboro Board of Commissioners for the year 2019 are listed below. All Commission meetings begin at 5:00 p.m. and the Work Sessions begin at 12:00 p.m. (Noon), in the Commission Chambers located on the fourth floor at City Hall, 101 E. 4^th Street. This event "Walk for Recovery" will be the annual event that Daviess County Treatment Providers will host to recognize September as National Recovery Month.

The Thoroughbred Cup Presented by Adidas is the Fall Midwest Regional of The High
School Cup - a series of regional tournaments that correspond to
Topdrawersoccer.com Regions. Regional champions greatly enhance their résumé in
the quest to be awarded The High School Cup. This tournament has been held in
Elizabethtown the past two years and the promoters wanted to try hosting it in
Owensboro. The event could continue on an annual basis in and around Labor Day
and could increase in size to 70 teams. Most teams attending are not from our
area.

Learn to Skate

The Edge Ice Center's Learn to Skate Program follows the guidelines set forth by the Ice Sating Industry (I.S.I) the nation's largest provider of recreational skating programs. Classes are offered throughout the year and range from beginner to advanced and teach recreational skills, hockey, and figure skating.

Fees include membership into I.S.I, skate rental, plus 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of practice ice per week. Practice ice is available 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.

High Leve Freestyle 4+ includes 15 minutes warm-up plus 45 minutes of instruction.

2019 Owensboro Air Show Bridge Run – September 14, 2019

Choose from a 10K course or a 5K course. Both start on the Owensboro riverfront, cross the Blue Bridge into Indiana, then turn around and return to the start/finish line. You get two trips across the bridge!

5K begins at 7:15am, 10k begins at 7:30am

Part of the Owensboro Air Show weekend.

Owensboro Christian Church worship team and congregation will gather downtown at the Smothers Park Overlook Stage for a 2 hour worship set filled with music and fellowship.
