Owensboro Youth Council is hosting their annual Youth for a Cause Food Drive Saturday, November 8, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. The Food drive will take place outside of Kroger off of Starlite Drive, and Wal-Mart On highway 54. Come out and support your community by donating food at our event. The food collected will be put into baskets and delivered to local families in need. 

 

The most needed items this year include:

  • Canned fruits

  • Potatoes canned or boxed

  • Children boxed snack foods

  • Breakfast Foods

    Hamburger Helper

  • Toiletry items

  • Paper towels ( 2 pack )

  • 4 Pack Toilet Paper

  • Loaf of Bread

     

    The Owensboro Youth Council encourages everyone to help out during the holiday season. Support is needed to help the Food Drive continue to assist over 300 families in the Owensboro area. Through the Youth for a Cause Food Drive, everyone can help the Youth Council in its mission to strive to help our community.

     

    The Owensboro Youth Council is a Mayor appointed group of students representing each middle and high school in Owensboro-Daviess County. The purpose of the Owensboro Youth Council is to serve the Youth of this community by planning and implementing social, educational, cultural, and recreational activities and service projects for youth of the area and voicing the opinion of other youth not serving on the Council.  Members of the Youth Council strive to set a proper example for the youth of the community.
