    Friday After 5 is a summer-long series of free outdoor concerts held every Friday on the eight block, stunningly beautiful Owensboro, Kentucky riverfront.

    A Celebration of Nicky Hayden and an effort to raise funds for the Nicky Hayden Foundation. Collaboration with local Motorcycle groups to organize a ride from Nicky’s Memorial Statue at the convention Center out to Value Liquors on 54 and back to Lure are underway. The goal would be to have everyone arrive at Lure by 7:30 to enjoy some food and drinks and raise some money. Lure will be selling special edition Memorial bottles of Four Roses Bourbon with the goal of raising $30,000 for the foundation. A portion of the proceeds of sales from Lure will also go to the foundation.

    TREK XXIV is a family-friendly, non-competitive event and is open to all age groups. Participants are allowed to walk, run, or cycle the route. The new route will be 12.52 to 13.0 miles which will start at the Ben Hawes State Park shelter area located at 400 Booth Field Road. From there participants will travel on the roadways behind Ben Hawes State Park, including Medley, South Griffith St., Willet, and Lower River Road; returning back to Ben Hawes State Park shelter area. There participants will gather for lunch and camaraderie at the end of the event. For over 20 years, David Yewell and his family and friends have held this charity event. Monies raised from this charity event support the St. Joseph Peace Mission for Children. The funding is used to provide a safe home for more than 250 at-risk youth and families served by the Mission.

    The Great Race is an antique, vintage, and collector car competitive controlledspeed endurance road rally on public highways. It is not a test of top speed. It is a test of a driver/navigator team's ability to follow precise course instructions and the car's (and team's) ability to endure on a cross-country trip. The course instructions require the competing teams to drive at or below the posted speed limits at all times. The 2021 route includes an overnight stop in Owensboro, where the cars will be on display downtown.

    LIVE on the Banks is a FREE Outdoor Concert Series. The Overlook Stage at Smothers Park in Downtown Owensboro will feature some some of the finest LOCAL and REGIONAL Performing Artists & Entertainers, every Saturday evening, May 15 through September 25.

    "LoB" is a FREE, FAMILY event, open to the public, for all ages, and is presented by the CIty of Owensboro, KY.
