    Don’t miss your chance to get up close and personal to a wide range of aircraft. Friday will be your chance to meet some of the pilots of these aircraft and experience a taste of the Owensboro Air Show. As the sun begins to set, a few performers will take to the sky to entertain the crowds with an evening spectacle of nighttime air show performances followed by fireworks to conclude the night.

    Owensboro HydroFair returns to Owensboro on Friday, August 20, 2021 thru Sunday, August 22, 2021

    This exciting event will start on Friday, August 20, with hydroplane testing from 1 pm-5 pm.  The qualifying races will be 10 am- 4 pm on Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22 from 10 am-12 pm.  Championship Races will begin Sunday at 1 pm till 4 pm, it’s going to a thrilling event with great hydroplane racing!

    Hydrofair will consist of about 50- hydroplanes separated into seven classes.  Speeds will range from 110 to more than 170 miles per hours.  The race course will be an oval-shaped loop between the Blue Bridge and English Park, a track of 1.25 miles, and drivers will cycle the track four times.

    Attendees will have free seating planned throughout Smothers Park and along the downtown riverfront.  Reserved seating will be available to purchase at the start/finish line near the Owensboro Convention Center.

    LIVE on the Banks is a FREE Outdoor Concert Series. The Overlook Stage at Smothers Park in Downtown Owensboro will feature some some of the finest LOCAL and REGIONAL Performing Artists & Entertainers, every Saturday evening, May 15 through September 25.

    "LoB" is a FREE, FAMILY event, open to the public, for all ages, and is presented by the CIty of Owensboro, KY.
